Carly has been playing piano since she was five. She was very heavily involved in music growing up. Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Carly sang in the Fairfax Choral Society for 13 years, participated in ACDA National Honor Choirs, competed in local piano events, and even played in the drumline for her high school's marching band. She is currently both the organist and choir pianist for her congregation in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Carly currently sings in the North Carolina Master Chorale, the resident choir of the North Carolina Symphony. In June of 2017, she made her debut performance at Carnegie Hall, NYC, with a selective group of singers from the Chorale.
Carly has a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Piano from Meredith College. She values the importance of education and studied piano with Dr. Kent Lyman during her time at Meredith College. Carly was a member of the Meredith Chorale, as well as one of 4 players in the Meredith Piano ensemble, Octavia. She currently participates in Octavia as a post-grad member. Carly also actively plays piano in the community. She has accompanied Saint Andrew's yearly Christmas program, filled in at Macedonia United Methodist Church, and played piano for many elementary and middle school choirs in Wake County.

Carly loves what she is doing and my daughter enjoys her lessons. I tried a few other teachers and music schools before starting with Carolina Music and this is what I was looking for my daughter. Our teacher is very talented and makes all her lessons fun, to keep my daughter always interested. She is very flexible about timings and easily reachable by text and email." -Reena M.
Carly is a hands-on instructor who truly cares about her students. She has been wonderful with both of my daughters. Carly and her team are patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, reliable, and fun. I would recommend Carolina Music School to anyone looking for a music teacher." -Kim C.
